What does that mean for the residents of DLFD?

ISO stands for Insurance Service Organization which evaluates and assesses fire protection in municipalities and counties throughout the US on a scale of 1 to 10 for the purpose of establishing insurance premiums.

One being best and 10 is a community that fails to meet minimum requirements.

DLFD Firefighters and volunteers have worked diligently to achieve this goal.

Based on the insurance company and policy of the DLFD residents, this rating may have a significant impact on property/homeowner's insurance rates.
